I am always delighted when I meet a kindred spirit. They are the people you meet in your life who you know almost immediately. Soulmates, twin flames and kindred spirits are all phrases that have been used to describe relationships that touch our souls and change our lives forever. But what is the difference between all of these terms?

Kindred spirits are individuals that resonate at the same level, or frequency, like us. As everything in life is composed of energy, we often feel attracted to some people and repelled by others.

Kindred spirits often play a very passive role in our lives. In other words, they do not represent a dominant part of our spiritual growth, but they do comfort and support us. Often kindred spirits share the same personality types as us, as well as similar tastes, interests and passions.

Kindred spirits remind each other on an unconscious level of ‘home’ when they run into each other on this side. You are unlikely to meet up with your ‘soulmate’ while here on earth. You will meet Kindred Spirits with whom you have a profound connection.

Within our life plan we write in specific connections with people, these are often kindred spirits with whom we share periods of time with during our lives. All of which we learn from and some stay with us, others are there only for a short stay. Some are instantly recognizable, ‘love at first sight’ springs to mind.
