Being Grounded

Don't think of your mistakes as negatives but rather as learning opportunities.

Being cocky is a cover-up for feelings of inadequacy. A cocky person feels the need to show themselves “approved” with an inflated ego because there is no internal sense of security.

Confidence is a natural result of being secure, rooted, grounded in who and what you are. A confident person doesn’t need to prove anything by showing off or explaining themselves because they couldn’t give a hoot what anyone else thinks of them.

Confident people value relationships because they see the value in trusting other people so that they can work together to creating greater possibilities.

Cocky people, on the other hand, seek to compete, separate, and value individualism over collaboration because they’re afraid someone might get too close and pull the veil off of his or her false sense of security…and they’ll be exposed.

Life is not about pretending; it is about facing our fears, facing our insecurities, knowing our limiting beliefs.

When you see great talent and capabilities in others, you may feel that you are lacking something important in yourself. Remember that the greatness you see in them is actually greatness you appreciate in yourself.

Leading from our source actually challenges us to find our dreams, intelligence, wisdom, knowledge and creativity. Leading from our source takes courage, living without pretending takes strength.
